Mekong Delta Loop Bike Tour

  • Ride through the interior trails of Mekong Delta and live the life around it.
  • A land full of copious experiences like great food, hearty smiles and pristine landscapes.

Enjoy the best of Mekong on this spectacular ride through the beautiful countryside of Mekong Delta. The life here is brimming with fulness of fish farming, coconut plantations, paddy fields and we make sure that you experience plenty of this. The terrain is absolutely flat and we get to share interior narrow trails with local people either riding typical french bikes or 2-wheelers and criss-cross the rivers in local ferries. The amazing stops along the way such as coconut candy factory,  and anecdotes shared by our local guide only complements the ride further. The region here is epitome of slow life and the only way to experience this is on your bike!

Arrive at Con Phung Island and break for lunch here at a local restaurant. Later trade bike with small boat and cruise through small canals surrounded with lush water-coconut trees. You may also see how local people use water-coconut leaves to make thatch roofs.

In the evening, enjoy walking around Ben Tre waterfront and shopping for coconut candy and oil, famous of this region.

INCLUSIONS & MORE

Beautiful Hotels

On this Casual Inn tour, experience the best of small boutique hotels at each destination. They are chosen carefully so that you are well rested, get a drift of the local character or an enthralling view from your verandah! Under circumstances of non-availability of hotel, we will put in equivalent or a better hotel. Any extras at hotel are at your expense.

Quality Bikes

When you have a road and the thrill of a journey ahead of you, it’s imperative to have a good bike to enjoy it. Most of our tours in Southeast Asia run on some of the best hybrid/mountain bikes in the cycling tour industry. Upright position, excellent traction and optimal comfort under gravel roads are some of the characteristics.

Outstanding Food

Local food plays an integral part in experiencing the culture of region and we make sure that you get plenty of this. The inclusion of daily meals is highlighted in detailed itinerary. Drinking water and soft drinks such as juice, tea/coffee is included in your price. Alcohol is at your expense.

Charming Guides

Our most visible and perhaps most important role is played by a Trip Leader, the folks who make a trip exciting, comfortable, knowledgeable and who are able to steer you towards the real experience! In most of the trips, we have two guides riding with you. One is leading the group of riders and other is closing at the back.

Comfortable Support Van

A Van follows the group of riders throughout the trip and carries all belongings. If at any point riding seems a little hard, the van takes you for as long or as little as you wish it to. It also provides you refreshments along the way and sometimes a chilled beer.

Guaranteed to Depart Tours

We run most of our tours with minimum 2 people traveling and sometimes even with 1 person, without any extra fee. Rest assured, your trip is always guaranteed to depart. If for some reasons you don’t wish to join a tour then you can always transfer to another trip or we’ll give you a credit which you can settle against any future trip.

Entrance Fees & Transportation

Entrance fees to historic sites, museums, temples & other exclusive events and transportation from rendezvous to final drop-off is always included in your tour price. Our tour designers give as much focus on non-cycling activity as on cycling.

Deep Local Knowledge & Presence

Presence of operations in Cambodia, local associations and ad-hoc field network allows us to leverage local know-how and deliver on what is promised to you without any culture and communications barrier.

Singles Friendly

It is applicable in cases where you want to opt for a room alone or we don’t find a room partner. In other cases, we will try to club you with another person, preferably of same sex.

From Saigon, Vietnam

I have always had an interest in travel and discovering new places, meeting new people and experiencing different cultures. The experience offered on a bike cannot be matched by touring in a car or bus. By seeing the countryside on two wheels, we are able to immerse ourselves in the culture, feel the wind in our face and see what village life is like as we ride through it.

REVIEWS

from our friends

This is the perfect way to dive deep into rural Vietnam. We rode many miles on narrow concrete pathways connecting villages and farms. The ferry crossing were a special treat. Not a car or truck in sight for much of the riding. The route planning was exceptional.

The logistics were perfect. The day flowed smoothly from pick-up to starting the ride to lunch stop to boat ride to demonstration of rice paper making to arrival back at the hotel. My tour guide, An, was superb. He was knowledgeable, confident, easy going. Even the half hour rain delay was an enjoyable stop with the local people.

Three friends did the 3 day Mekong Delta bike ride with Sarane our guide and Lai (hope spelling is right) our driver. It was an amazing experience. Sarane was a fantastic guide, providing lots of local knowledge and Lai was an exceptional driver. The trip was varied, with lots of great biking, boat rides as we crossed the mighty Mekong river and surrounding canals, local markets, wonderfully hospital hosts at the homestay, delicious food cooked along the way at the different cafes, experiencing the floating markets and of course the torrential rain downpour which we managed to bike through unscathed. Bikes were pretty good, don’t forget your bike pants – you’ll need them for three days! Fabulous trip – and well worth it. Thank you Sarane and Lai for making this trip so memorable.

Booking was easy and personal. We thoroughly enjoyed our Mekong Delta experience. Our guide was well informed and guaged our needs and abilities well. His knowledge added greatly to our enjoyment of the trip. We took the home stay option and found the experience of Vietnamese rural life and cooking rewarding. This contrasted pleasingly with the luxury of the modern hotel in Can Tho. The bikes were new and the support van comfortable. The positives were many; the choice of stops for refreshments and lunches, the selected places of interest, the cheerful and helpful disposition of our guide and driver, the attractiveness of the chosen route. The negatives? Nothing really. A good experience with a well organised company which tailored the trip successfully to our needs.

You have seen the Mekong unless you’ve travelled on a bike….AMAZING!

We did a private six adult bike tour with our guide and it was simply superb! The passenger coach was comfortable, clean and our driver excellent…..we felt in good hands at all times….Our guide Phuc was simply exceptional, spoke excellent English…. we would highly recommend him and company. We felt as if we were their family….a wonderful special holiday!

We enjoyed the tour in all moments! The provided bikes fitted excellent for us and our tour guide leaded us easily through the small paths in the beautiful landscape. We crossed many small bridges, towns, rice fields and had delicious snacks and lunchtimes every day. The hotels were clean and comfortable. Our driver was always on time and very helpful. He prepared fresh and cold drinking water and was responsible for the bikes. We can really recommend this company and this tour! Be sure that is not our last one with you 🙂
